Saved from slaughter as a weanling in 2006 when left by her breeder at a Kansas auction near Topeka, Kansas, Keoni came to Rainbow Meadows in December of that year. She grew and flourished here at the ranch until adopted as a two-year-old. While with her adoptive family, Keoni received her initial saddle training and was often ridden by children. Unfortunately, a job loss resulted in the family having to return Keoni to Rainbow Meadows. Keoni was then adopted by a second family but spent the majority of 11 years as a pasture ornament. Rainbow Meadows is currently (January 2022) refreshing Keoni's skills on the ground and will then transition to saddle work. This beautiful palomino filly is calm and easy to handle and will be a great partner to her new adopter!
