Mare

A regional champion, this mare was a successful show horse until she sucumbed to blindness. At that time she became a brood mare until she could no longer have any foals. Her owners wanted her euthanized when she was unproductive. Her Vet saved her life by contacting Rainbow Meadows and asking that she be admitted to the ranch. Palomita is such a sweet and trusting mare which provides a true Cadillac ride.

Raven, a beautiful flea-bitten Arabian mare, arrived with Sweet Pea in October 2006 where they were found at a killer auction. Luckily, a generous Rainbow Meadows volunteer saw them both and saved them from slaughter. Raven was immediately adopted and lived with her new family until the summer of 2016 (10 years) when her adopter lost her life to cancer. Raven is an aloof mare which will do best with a calm and patient adopter.

Stormy was owned by a young mother of two who found after a divorce that she could no longer care for her three horses. Desperate for assistance, she contacted Rainbow Meadows. The eldest of the group, a BLM Mustang mare and mother to the two younger horses (Stormy and her half brother, Thunder), was placed immediately and the other two horses came to Rainbow Meadows. Stormy is a firecracker and is super confident on the trail.
