Blind and frigntened, Lady needed safe refuge from the person who was entrusted with her care but put her in harms way. A forer ranch mare, Lady had made her mark in SE Kansas and taught a number of youngsters how to rope. When she was blinded by Recurrent Uveitis, she became unimportant to her caregivers. She was tethered within a few feet of a busy Kansas highway for grazing. Cars and semi's were passing her grazing area with great frequency and speed. Rainbow Meadows was asked to provide safe refuge to keep her safe.
