Darlin’ was provided as a companion horse, by a local breeder, to a well-meaning individual. She lived her life in “retirement” for nearly a decade prior to the unexpected death of her owner.
Her owner was a longtime supporter of Rainbow Meadows, and had created a trust with her wishes clearly stated that Darlin’ and her pasture mate D’ante were to come to Rainbow Meadows.
She is an aloof mare and does have a tendency to be pushy. Based on our assessment in December of 2024 she has not been started under saddle.
