I first noticed the horses in early 2020 as I was driving by.  I had not retired yet so was limited in my ability to pursue my curiousity in person.  I decided to do an internet search and discovered the ranch was a horse rescue named Rainbow Meadows.  I applied for and was approved as a volunteer soon after.  I went through the orientation and training and have never looked back.I had minimal previous experience with horses but have gained immense knowledge through my volunteer opportunities.  I have volunteered since 2020, donating as many as 5 days per week serving the horses.I was excited to offer to expand my volunteer service by participating as a board member.  I am still excited by each new learning opportunity.Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue and Retirement, Inc., is my "zen" place.  I plan to continue serving the horses, volunteers and staff as long as I am able.
