I started volunteering at Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue in February 2023. Since my first visit I have loved themission, the philosophy and the work and am honored to serve on the Board of Directors.I was raised in North Little Rock Arkansas and was fortunate to have horses in my family through highschool. The relationship I had with my horses taught me as much about myself as it did about them.WIth a move to New Mexico for college I had to say goodbye to my horses but was fortunate to work at asmall ranch and provide basic riding lessons to University of New Mexico students. My past volunteerhistory has been with women and children serving non-profits including Amethyst Place in Kansas City (mentoring women in recovery) and as an advocate for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) .I live in Kansas City MO with my partner of 17 years, and have two wonderful adult children. Currently Istill work full time at Chicago TItle in Kansas City . I thrive on connection with others and the naturalworld so I am greatly looking forward to my ongoing service at RMER . It is an understatement to saythat I am very happy to be back around horses again - now with an opportunity to give back to themthrough a remarkable equine
