Willow

Jada and Willow were ransomed from a kill buyer near Topeka, Kansas as part of probably the largest slaughter rescue in Kansas. Nearly 50 horses, some as young as 2 weeks of age, were part of a herd of 77 horses and 2 donkeys which were slated to be hauled to Mexico for slaughter. Before the funds could be raised, the first load of 30 were hauled away. Soon however, more than $15,000 dollars was raised from interested individuals across the United States to pay for the horses, saving them from the terror of slaughter. They were dearly loved.
