This lionhearted colt was born in June 2009, only to be orphaned following the death of his dam as a result of starvation. With no milk from his mother and severe neglect by his owners, Win's health steadily became worse and worse. Numerous pleas were made to local authorities, but to no avail. Finally, after 3 months of fruitless attempts to save him, a guardian angel offered the owners a generous payment in exchange for Win's life, securing his safety. Upon arrival at Rainbow Meadows, he was very small for his age and in a state of severe emaciation and poor health. He was immediately started on a refeeding program, and soon began regaining the coltish energy he had been lacking. He was started under saddle in the fall of 2013 and performed marvelously, proving to be the solid, reliable gelding we knew he had grown into.
